About our "Boys' CLub"
Keeping boys keen on studio ballet classes can be challenging! Often, they are the only boy in class, which can be isolating. WACBTA are running their second year of extra classes specifically for boys.
We know that sometimes male students can feel a bit isolated in ballet classes when often they are the only one in a class full of girls. So these classes will give them the chance to meet other boys who learn ballet, and share the space with dancers just like themselves. The classes will be designed specifically to address the needs of male dancers, and will be aimed primarily at ages 8-13, although students over 13 are also welcome if they wish to join in the fun!
Our objectives are:
- To create a fun and inclusive environment
- To help students make connections and friendships
- To show them that other boys do ballet
- To provide role models for younger boys to aspire to
- To create a “tribe” where boys feel comfortable
- To support the work teachers do in their studio

Classes are 9.00am to 11.00 am – 1.25 hour class plus 20 minutes of boys’ repertoire of the presenter’s choice

Registering to attend "Boys' Club"
Here is where you register! Students, you will need to check with your teacher whether they are a current member of the WA Classical Ballet Teachers’ Association for 2025, because if they are, you get a discount!
Teachers, you are welcome to attend classes if one of your students is attending. Free to WACBTA members, $10 per class for non-members. (Hint: if you want to watch a number of classes, consider joining, because then you get them for free, plus discounts on other educational events!) Please note: even if you are entitled to free entry as a WACBTA member with students attending the class, you must still register so we know how many people we have coming. WACBTA members who do not have students attending may still attend, at a cost of $10.
After completing the registration form, you will be automatically redirected to the Trybooking site https://www.trybooking.com/CYXCL where you can select the classes you wish to attend and pay for the booking. If you have more than one child attending, please complete a registration form for each child, so we have details of names and ages.
