The West Australian Classical Ballet Teachers’ Association was created with the primary purpose of enhancing the teaching of classical ballet in WA through the sharing of knowledge. We believe strongly in the value of life-long learning, and we aim to provide you with the opportunity to learn about different ways of doing things and to share strategies you have found to be successful with others. As a member, you will be able to access informative, interactive, and interesting educational sessions at discounted rates. We also offer Corporate Memberships for studios. These memberships provide full member discounts for educational events (along with other member benefits) for an unlimited number of teachers.

Who Can Be a Full Member?

A full member is someone who is currently teaching classical ballet in WA, has previously taught classical ballet, is training to teach classical ballet, or has an interest in interacting with the classical ballet community. Full members must be 18 years or older. Full members receive access to educational events at discounted rates, are able to vote at General Meetings and are eligible to nominate to become officers of the Association (Chairperson, Deputy-Chairperson, Secretary, or Treasurer), or to become a member of the Management Committee.

*Please note that memberships are per calendar year. For new memberships being applied for after 1 July, the membership fee reduces by 50% to reflect that the membership is only for 6 months. For anyone joining in the second half of 2025, the fee is $30.00.

Corporate Membership

Who Can Be a Corporate Member?

Studios may pay a yearly fee of $185.00 per calendar year to become a Corporate Member of WA Classical Ballet Teachers’ Association Inc.

This fee will allow an unlimited number of teachers from that studio to access member benefits under the umbrella of the studio’s corporate membership. This entitles the teachers listed under the studio’s corporate membership to discounted rates for educational events offered by WACBTA, and to any other member benefits offered from time to time.
